Segment 1:
Travel & Overlanding
Despite of the skills and interests Sha has for Art, she also enjoys travelling and most importantly Over Landing. Sha is a Bodily-Kinesthetics. Bodily-Kinesthetics refers to a person's ability to process information physically through hand and body movement, control, and expression. It is also known as the physical learning style or tactile-kinesthetics learning style. With this type of learning intelligence, she enjoys immersing with nature, being outdoors, as well as doing them with her family. Therefore, an activity most impactful to Sha is Travelling. Having an adventurous spirit has been an ideal thing for her family, it is a must to explore the outside world and it has been an interest which developed as a mindset by her parents since they were young. Travelling or a sense of exploring by itself is a way for Sha to find her own joy in learning from all aspects in her life collectively. She gathers values, social interaction skills, building mindset as well as general knowledge about the world through doing various of different things, especially across countries.
This special segment gathers all the priceless moments of Sha’s explorative process as she travels. Starting from journeys that started it all. Road trips across island of Indonesia. Before approaching the outside world, Sha’s family wanted to take the time to really explore and experience their homeland. It started from going back and forth, further to different islands of Indonesia. Starting from famous places like Bali, Jogja, Semarang, etc to the amazons and forests of Ujung Kulon, villages and phenomenal places of Kalimantan, as well as many more.
After encountering the infinite beautiful places in her homeland, Sha and her family decided to step up their road trip journey to The United States. Traveling across states around west coast and east coast in 2015 & 2016. For most people, they’ve come to the US to see many famous sites. As for Sha’s family they still do what tourists would typically do, but they’d search for other things in additional for a once in a lifetime opportunity such as, going to a winter camp in NASA Kennedy Space Center. The NASA Winter Camp gives off many lessons of different forms of activities about space such as; anti-gravity simulator, how astronauts go to the toilet, taking role being in the mission control (how they launch the orbiters to space) and so much more. It was also an experience whereas at that time Sha and her sister were the only Asian student amongst the others too. Which means it was a big step ahead, experiencing how the world innovated and evolves before us without us knowing.
Then after having the courage to step up the game on to outside the country, this leads us to the most known journey of Footprint Kami. A journey driving across 16 (Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany) countries from Indonesia to Germany with her family. An unforgettable journey teaching her personally, spiritually and emotionally more connected to humanity. One of the biggest reasons this journey changed her perspective on everything around her- is because of the different types of people she mets everyday. From people in the villages, mountains, those who live under bridges, to escorts, military, checkpoints, to people of the city as well as Ambassadors of Indonesia in various countries. With all these people she encountered, it effortlessly gave such a huge impact by learning from the small things everyday.
